skylights. We also power washed the exterior of the house, recaulked
all of the log joints, and sprayed the whole exterior with a wood
preservative. In August, 2013, we installed a new whole house water
conditioner. In December 2013 through January 2014, we remodeled the kitchen/living room/ dining room area.
This included all new hickory hardwood flooring, new quartz kitchen
countertops, new stainless steel sink, new faucet, Bosch stainless
steel cooktop, linear glass tile backsplash, new light fixtures in
kitchen and dining room, new furniture, painting, curtains, and area
rugs. We also installed new hall and stair carpeting and new wallpaper in the hall.

guests come in for high school reunions, family reunions, weddings,
balloon rallies, vacations, and weekend get-aways. We have been hosting
guests for 14 years and have many families who return regularly
when they are in the Alfred area. Numerous advance reservations are
currently on the books.
